I’m incredibly excited to step into the role of Assistant Principal and look forward to all that this school year has in store. This is my 10th year in education, and throughout my journey, I’ve had the opportunity to wear many hats—as a teacher, coach, mentor, and now, as a campus leader.
I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration and my Master of Educational Leadership from East Texas A&M University, along with my Principal as Instructional Leader Certification. I truly believe that “if a child cannot learn in the way we teach, we must teach in a way the child can learn.” That mindset shapes how I approach leadership, instruction, and relationships.
Coaching has also been a big part of my journey. I’ve had the amazing opportunity to lead several middle school Lady Buff teams in volleyball, basketball, and track to District Championships. These are some of my most rewarding memories. I was also honored to start a 7th–12th grade volleyball program from scratch and lead the team to a playoff appearance as head coach at a smaller district. Whether it’s in the classroom or on the court, I’ve always been passionate about helping students grow in confidence, character, and community.
Outside of athletics, I’ve previously served as a BETA Club sponsor, where I got to work with some incredible students and guide them to earn multiple state and national awards. Watching young people rise to a challenge and accomplish big goals is one of the best parts of what I do.
Outside of school, I’m a Christian, a proud dog mom, a sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. I love being part of a team, cheering others on, and creating a space where everyone feels valued and supported. I’m truly looking forward to building strong relationships with our students, families, and staff this year and can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together!
