Inside the Classroom: FUNdamental Properties

Last week, Ms. Edwards' Chemistry students got to roll up their sleeves and dive into some hands-on fun with the “Fundamental Properties Lab.” After wrapping up a unit on physical and chemical properties/changes, the students had a blast testing their knowledge in a super interactive way.

From playing with classic materials like slime and oobleck, they identified different properties and observed how these substances change. But the real excitement came when they experimented with cool new items like hydrophobic sand and secret decoder paper. Using ammonia and q-tips, they uncovered some pretty awesome science behind these materials.

This lab was a fun and creative way for students to see chemistry in action.
