Train Today, Save Tomorrow: EMT Training Starts at Lone Oak ISD!

We are proud to announce that the Lone Oak ISD Health Science Academy has received official approval for a Texas Basic Initial EMS Education Program! 

Starting in the 2025-2026 school year, LOISD students will have the opportunity to enroll in an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) course, right here on campus. This incredible addition to our Health Science program will prepare students to be CTE College and Career Ready, while earning yet another Industry-Based Certification (IBCs) that leads directly to careers in the medical field. 

This program is made possible through strong community partnerships with the Hunt Memorial Hospital District and American Medical Response – Hunt County, and their willingness to provide our students with hands-on clinical and real-world experience in emergency medical services. 

We can’t wait to see our future first responders in action—serving, saving, and making a difference in their communities!
